Grind Whole Bean

Apple, Cranberry, Lemongrass, Dark Chocolate

Uganda is a landlocked located in the center of Africa sandwiched between Kenya and the Congo.  It’s high altitude, fertile country which is ideal for growing coffee and is the second largest coffee producer in Africa.  Uganda is not know for specialty coffee… while more arabica is being cultivated it still only constitutes roughly 20-25% of overall coffee production in the country.  Most coffee is grown by smallholders with farms averaging .2 hectares in size.  It’s often intercropped with traditional food crops and shaded by banana trees.  Cherries are picked and taken to the processing station the same day.  Ripe cherries are separated out by flotation and then dried on African raised bed for 21-35 days.

We chose this coffee to be our next featured due to it’s uniqueness being from Uganda the process… Natural.  This isn’t something that’s seen very often so we thought it’d be a fun one to share with you.
