    Pleased To Meet You

Finally arriving at what we truly came to see I immediately came to conclude that there's great coffee being grown in PNG. Due to their location, high elevation and ideal climate for growing coffee there's enormous potential for the quality to improve over what's already being done. And what’s already being done is amazing. Staying for five days I had a chance to really see what their operation looked like. The care and nurturing put into the Lufawa coffee crop. It occurred to me while I was there that selling this we could refer to the Lufawa a 'relationship coffee.' Meaning that while it isn’t a direct trade, it is one where we as the consumer have a direct relationship with the farmers. We’d also have the opportunity to allow our customers to have that opportunity as well. More on that tomorrow.
